Article 1 — Purpose
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Espace Event platform ("Platform"), accessible at https://espace-event.com.
Any individual or legal entity accessing the Platform is a "User". Use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of these Terms, which form the binding agreement between the User and Espace Event.

Espace Event reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Amendments take effect upon publication on the Platform. You will be notified by email of any material changes. Continued use of the Platform after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Article 3 — Service Description
Espace Event is a platform that connects:
- Event organizers: individuals or professionals wishing to plan and manage events (weddings, birthdays, corporate events, christenings, etc.).
- Service providers: professionals offering their services for events (caterers, photographers, DJs, decorators, etc.).
The Platform offers the following features:
- Complete event management (scheduling, tasks, budget, guest lists)
- Matching between organizers and service providers
- Integrated messaging between parties
- Quote and invoicing tools
- Dashboard and project tracking
Espace Event acts solely as an intermediary and is not a party to contracts concluded between organizers and service providers. Consequently, Espace Event shall not be held liable for any claim, dispute, damage or loss arising from the performance, non-performance or defective performance of any agreement between an organizer and a service provider. Each party contracts entirely under their own responsibility.
Article 4 — Registration & Account
Access to Platform features requires account creation. Upon registration, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete and current information.
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- Not share your account with unauthorized third parties.
- Immediately notify Espace Event of any unauthorized use of your account.
- Be at least 18 years of age or hold valid parental authorization.
Any user who provides false information regarding their age assumes full and sole legal responsibility for any consequences arising from such false declaration. Espace Event cannot be held liable for access to the Platform obtained by fraud or misrepresentation.
Account creation implies acceptance of our Privacy Policy. Espace Event reserves the right to refuse or delete any account that does not comply with these requirements.
Article 5 — User Obligations
By using the Platform, you agree not to:
- Post unlawful, defamatory, abusive, threatening or rights-infringing content.
- Impersonate any person or entity.
- Use the Platform for fraudulent or illegal purposes.
- Attempt to circumvent the Platform's security measures.
- Collect personal data from other users without their consent.
- Send unsolicited commercial content (spam).
- Reproduce or distribute Platform content without authorization.
- Introduce viruses, malware or any malicious code.
Any breach may result in immediate suspension of your account without notice or refund.
Article 6 — Subscriptions & Pricing
The Platform offers paid subscription plans with extended features. Prices are listed on the Pricing page and are denominated in FCFA or the currency displayed on the Platform.
Espace Event reserves the right to modify its prices. Price changes are communicated with reasonable advance notice. Current subscriptions are maintained at the agreed rate until their expiry date.
Payment Terms
Payment is due upon subscription. In the event of payment failure, access to paid features may be suspended until payment is regularized. No card data is stored directly on our servers — payment processing is delegated to a certified payment provider.
14-day right of withdrawal: In accordance with applicable law, you have a period of 14 calendar days from the date of subscribing to a paid plan to exercise your right of withdrawal, without reason or penalty. This right is exercised via our contact form by indicating your order ID. After this period or if you have expressly requested immediate access, the right of withdrawal no longer applies.
Refunds
Subscriptions are not subject to partial refund in the event of early termination, unless otherwise expressly agreed by Espace Event.
Article 7 — Personal Data & Cookies
Espace Event collects and processes your personal data in connection with the provision of its services, in accordance with applicable data protection regulations. Full details are available in our Privacy Policy.
By registering on the Platform, you consent to the processing of your personal data for the purposes described in that policy.
The Platform uses only strictly necessary cookies (session, CSRF). No third-party advertising cookies are placed without prior consent. You can manage your preferences in your browser settings.
Article 8 — Liability & Force Majeure
Espace Event endeavors to ensure service continuity. However, the Platform cannot be held liable for:
- Service interruptions due to technical or emergency maintenance.
- Content published by users and its accuracy.
- Direct or indirect damages resulting from use of the Platform.
- Non-performance of a service between an organizer and a provider.
Force Majeure: Espace Event shall not be liable for any delay or non-performance resulting from an unforeseeable, irresistible and external event (natural disaster, generalized internet outage, government action, pandemic, etc.). If such an event persists beyond 30 days, either party may terminate its commitments by written notice.
Article 9 — Intellectual Property
All elements of the Platform (trademark, logo, interface, editorial content, source code) are the exclusive property of Espace Event or its partners. Any unauthorized use constitutes infringement subject to civil and criminal prosecution.
Content published by users remains their property. By publishing it on the Platform, they grant Espace Event a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, reproduce and adapt it solely for the purpose of providing the service.
Article 10 — Suspension & Termination
Espace Event reserves the right to temporarily suspend or permanently delete any account in the event of breach of these Terms, fraudulent behaviour or non-payment. Where a suspension is envisaged for a reason other than manifest fraud or imminent risk, Espace Event will notify the user by email at least 48 hours in advance. The user has 15 days from that notification to submit a written appeal via the contact form; Espace Event will respond to the appeal within 10 business days.
Users may deactivate their account at any time from their personal space settings. Account deletion terminates all active subscriptions without refund for the current period.
Upon termination, data is retained in accordance with the retention periods set out in the Privacy Policy, then permanently deleted.
Disputes between Organizers and Service Providers
As a platform intermediary, Espace Event is not party to agreements formed between organizers and service providers and does not intervene in commercial disputes between them.
In the event of a dispute between an organizer and a service provider, the parties are strongly encouraged to first attempt resolution through direct dialogue. If unsuccessful:
- Either party may submit a written report via the contact form, including a description of the facts and any supporting evidence. Espace Event may, at its sole discretion, facilitate communication between the parties.
- If direct resolution fails, either party may refer the matter to an independent mediator or a competent court.
Espace Event reserves the right to suspend or restrict access to either account during investigation of reported misconduct, without this constituting recognition of liability on the part of the platform.
Service providers are solely responsible for the quality, compliance and delivery of their services, including compliance with all applicable professional, regulatory and insurance requirements.
Article 11 — Mediation & Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, submit a written complaint to Espace Event via the contact form. We commit to acknowledging receipt within 5 business days and providing a substantive response within 15 business days.
If no amicable resolution is reached, you may refer the matter to a mediator or the competent courts in your country of residence. EU residents may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Article 12 — Governing Law
These Terms are written in French and governed by the law in force in the country of establishment of Espace Event. In the event of translation into another language, the French version shall prevail.
If any clause is deemed null or unenforceable by a competent court, the remaining clauses shall remain in full force. For any queries, visit the Contact page.
